This is an indispensable ritual during a getaway on this small island off the coast of La Rochelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"ls-heading wp-block-heading\">OYSTERS: A SPECIALITY OF THE ILE DE R\u00c9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\">Oyster production has been an integral part of the maritime culture of the Ile de R\u00e9 for centuries.
